His Excellency Bishop Thomas J. Tobin announced plans for a bold Year of Evangelization that will commence in Advent on Fri., Dec. 18th. Thanks to an anonymous $200,000 donation, this multi-faceted evangelization effort will begin with a unique, very public and quiet powerful presence. Throughout Advent, Christmas and all of January, television ads produced by CatholicsComeHome.org will fill the airwaves and reach out to our lost brothers and sisters in Christ.

A wonderful addition to
St. Peter's Faith Formation program -
Autism & the Sacraments is a beautiful success!

Fall 2008 St. Peter’s Faith Formation Program launched its brand new addition to our Faith Formation offerings, Autism & the Sacraments.  Now in the 2009-2010 Faith Formation year, we are still going strong!

This new approach to faith formation is peaceful, welcoming & innovative - adapting to each child’s individual learning style -  in a compassionate, loving & inclusive environment. The program is tailored to children on the autism spectrum, those with developmental delay(s) and children who are non-verbal.

The response to this one-of-a-kind program in the Diocese of Providence has been wonderful - families from every corner of RI & beyond have enrolled!

Each year we celebrate a number of beautiful Masses with our Autism & the Sacramants families - an opening Mass in the fall, a Mass of Peace in the winter, and a closing Mass each spring.

OUR AUTISM FAITH FORMATION PROGRAM HAS GONE NATIONAL!
Our program received national recognition on Feb. 25, 2009, when Assocated Press reporter Ray Henry published his wonderful article, "Catholic parish starts religious ed for autistc" following his visit with our class! Complete with photos and interviews with the class, the article has been shared all over the United States (even in Hawaii!).

**Did you hear it??? - - if you listened to Sirus Radio's Catholic Station on Mon., March 9th at 6:40am, you heard our own Margaret Andreozzi, elementary ed faith formation coordinator, share all the good news about our Autism & the Sacraments program - this station has 18.7 million subscribed listeners! St. Peter's special program has hit the national airwaves!
